Maksym V. Yarosh

Sailor Maksym Yarosh died on October 10, 2023, while performing a combat mission near the village of Pidstepne in the Kherson region. The warrior remained forever 28 years old. Maksym was a native of the village of Luka, Poltava region. He graduated from the Nedryhailivskoye Higher Vocational School. He had dreamed of being a military man since childhood. He first served under a contract, defending Ukraine in the ATO zone. After returning, he worked in the State Emergency Service, was a firefighter-rescuer. He lived in the city of Romny. In January 2023, the man again took up the defense of Ukraine. He took part in the liberation of settlements in the Donetsk and Kherson regions. He held the position of reconnaissance spotter of the 38th separate marine brigade. "My son was a patriot of his country, a sensitive and kind person. He loved animals, dreamed of a dog. Since he was the eldest in the family, he took care of his younger brother and sister, and he was a support and helper to me, he helped with advice and deeds, he could always comfort," said his mother Nadia Yarosh. Maksym is survived by his parents, sister, brother and son.
