Maksym Yu. Haliopa

25-year-old serviceman Maksym Haliopa was killed on October 2, 2022, during a mortar shelling near the city of Bakhmut in the Donetsk region. Maksym was born and lived in the city of Fastiv, Kyiv region. He graduated from the local school No. 1. He worked in a security service in Kyiv. He was always cheerful and had many friends. With the onset of the full-scale invasion, Maksym immediately went to the military enlistment office and joined the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He was a senior master in the repair workshop of rocket and artillery weapons. Together with his comrades, he went to the front. "My husband volunteered to defend us in the first hours of the full-scale war. He is a person who cannot be remembered without a smile. We all take pride in him and will always love and remember him. We will not let anyone forget the price we pay for freedom," said his wife, Maryhita. The defender was buried at the Alley of Glory in the International Cemetery in Fastiv. At home, Maksym was awaited by his wife Maryhita with their daughter, mother Lyudmyla, brothers, and a large family.
