Biography
Kyrichuk Maksym Yuriyovych was born on March 23, 1989 in the village of Borova, Kharkiv region. After obtaining secondary education and military service, he entered the Lviv Institute of Land Forces named after Hetman Petro Sahaidachny of the National University "Lviv Polytechnic", which in September 2009 acquired the status of the Academy of Land Forces. With the outbreak of the war in Eastern Ukraine in 2014, Maksym Kyrichuk stood up to defend his native country. During the turbulent times of the war, he was in many hotspots of the Russian-Ukrainian war front. He went through Debaltseve, Avdiivka, Sloviansk. In 2016, he was appointed commander of a mortar battery in one of the battalions, and in 2017 he took the position of deputy battalion commander for armaments. In March 2021, Maksym Kyrichuk was appointed commander of the 13th separate motorized infantry battalion, which was based in the urban-type settlement of Voronizh, Sumy region. With the start of the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine, the battalion commander, together with his subordinates, was present in all the hotspots of the front: near the settlements of Hlukhiv, Krolevets, and later near the cities of Baturyn and Nizhyn. He defended Chernihiv and Kyiv. In early April 2022, he was awarded the Order of Bohdan Khmelnytsky, 3rd degree. In May 2022, the fighters of the 13th separate motorized infantry battalion fought extremely hard battles with the enemy near the cities of Sloviansk and Bakhmut. He died on May 22, 2022. Maksym Kyrichuk was buried with honors in the city of Shostka on May 25, 2022.Burial place
