Marian V. Biletskyi

Maryan Biletskyi, a sailor, was killed on August 9, 2023, while carrying out a combat mission near the village of Staromaiorskoye in the Donetsk region. He sustained fatal injuries during enemy mortar shelling. The following month, on September 25, the defender would have turned 32 years old. Maryan was born in the village of Nyzhnya Bilka, Lviv region. He obtained the profession of an automotive mechanic. In peaceful life, he worked in construction and engaged in repairs. He was passionate about his work and loved to create things with his own hands. He spent his free time with his family and friends. The man was mobilized into the Naval Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on June 12, 2023. He served in the 36th Separate Marine Brigade named after Rear Admiral Mykhailo Bilynsky. He was a scout. He only managed to fight for two months when the enemy shelling cut his life short. "Maryan was a very loving husband and father. He always took care of his family, so he stood up to protect his loved ones," said his wife Valentyna. The marine was buried in his native village. At home, Maryan was awaited by his mother, wife, and daughter.
