Mykhailo A. Sobko (Makhrehor-Boroda)

Sergeant Mikhaylo Sobko (call sign Mcgregor, Beard) was killed on October 18, 2023 in the village of Priyutne, Zaporizhia region. In a month, the defender would have turned 37 years old. Mikhaylo was from the village of Mala Tokmachka, lived in the city of Orikhuv in Zaporizhia. He obtained a higher technical education at the Dnipro National University of Railway Transport named after Academician V. Lazaryan. He was interested in sports, travel, beekeeping, and loved creating metal products, including sports equipment. He was an entrepreneur. From the first days of the full-scale war in his native Orikhuv, he actively helped the military repair equipment at his own expense. Then he joined the National Guard of Ukraine and as part of the 23rd separate brigade of public order protection, he defended Ukraine. He held the position of head of the military detail of the 2nd patrol platoon of the 3rd patrol company of the 4th patrol battalion. He received the "Veteran of War" badge. "He was an honest and just person, so he could not remain aloof from the fight against the enemies after the start of the full-scale invasion. Always smiling, cheerful, positive. A kind, smart and active person, a leader. He helped everyone," said the mother of the fallen Olga Sobko. Mikhaylo was buried in the village of Komyshuva. The warrior left behind a mother and sister.
