Mykhailo B. Pozdieiev (Kasper)

Soldier Mykhaylo Pozdeyev (call sign Casper) was killed on June 10, 2023 in battle with the occupants in the area of the village of Mala Tokmachka, Zaporizhzhia region. The warrior was forever 39 years old. Mykhaylo was born and lived in Sumy. He graduated from Sumy State University. He worked as a lathe operator at the Frunze plant. His last place of work was LLC "Triz". In his free time, he loved fishing and playing tennis. He was an honorary donor, saving many people's lives. From the first days of the full-scale invasion, the man joined the ranks of volunteers and stood up to defend his native Sumy region. Later, he joined the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He fought as part of the 47th separate mechanized brigade "Magura". He was a rifleman-sniper. "My son is a brave patriot of his Motherland. He was always for honesty and justice. He wanted everyone to be the same. From the first day of the war, he stood up to defend his native city, and then went as a volunteer to the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine," said the mother of the fallen. The defender was buried in the Alley of Glory of the Baranivka cemetery in his hometown. Mykhaylo is survived by his mother Valentyna Opanasivna, wife Olena, daughters Anna and Alina, other relatives, friends and comrades-in-arms.
