- Serviceman Mykhailo Drozdiuk was killedon February 21, 2023, while carrying out a combat mission near the village of Bilhorivka in the Donetsk region. The 42-year-old warrior's life was cut short by enemy mortar fire. Mykhailo was born in the village of Porohy in the Ivano-Frankivsk region, in a large family. He studied at the local school. In 1998-2000, he served in the army in Khmilnytskyi. He was a mortar battery spotter. He was not officially employed, but he was a skilled handyman and could do everything. He was an expert in construction and cosmetic repairs. He loved playing tennis, football, and volleyball. He had excellent driving skills. During the full-scale war, the man served in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Initially, he was a medical driver, and from February 2023, he was a rifleman-assistant grenadier in the 8th separate mountain assault battalion of the 10th "Edelweiss" brigade. "Mykhailo had an exceptionally kind and sensitive heart, and he never refused to help. He was a person who always knew how to support and comfort. Even under constant shelling, he never stopped worrying about others: both his loved ones, whom he had to leave at home, and his comrades-in-arms, whom he tried to save with all his might, putting in titanic efforts. He blamed himself for every warrior he couldn't save. Mykhailo will forever remain in memory as a very sincere and friendly person with a bright soul and a good sense of humor. The true soul of the company. He was benevolent, courageous, generous, caring, fair, sensitive, and compassionate. He had many friends everywhere. He always had a good mood and lifted it for others. He respected his parents, was proud of his family, loved life, and had many plans and dreams," said the deceased's daughter Ilona. The warrior was buried in his native village. Mykhailo is survived by his parents, wife, and three children.Memory Platform 'Memorial'
