Mykhailo M. Butivchak (Mishania)

Serviceman Mykhailo Butivchak (call sign Mishanya) was killed on December 19, 2022, during shelling in the village of Verkhnokamyanske in the Donetsk region. The defender was 27 years old. Mykhailo was born in the village of Kachkarivka, Kherson region. He lived in the village of Zmiyivka. He received a complete secondary education at the Berislav Professional Agrarian Lyceum. In peaceful life, he traveled abroad for work, worked in warehouses. When he had free time - he went fishing. He was interested in motorcycles. With the beginning of the full-scale invasion, he could not be far from Ukraine, so he returned home and voluntarily took up the defense of the Motherland. He was a rifleman of the 2nd security platoon of the ammunition supply company of the logistics battalion of the 54th Separate Mechanized Brigade. He was awarded the Order of Courage of the III degree. "Misha was a kind, cheerful and sincere person. He had many friends. He never refused to help," said Alona Tarnavska, the wife of the fallen soldier. Mykhailo was buried in the settlement of Kushuhum, Zaporizhia region. The warrior is survived by his wife, mother, sister and nephew.
