- 35-year-old junior sergeant Mykhailo Kravchuk (call sign Mishanya) was killed on April 19, 2023 near the village of Novobakhmutivka in the Donetsk region. While carrying out a combat mission and rescuing a comrade, he received fatal injuries during enemy artillery shelling. Mykhailo was born in Magadan (Russia) in a military family. From childhood, he lived in Pervomaisk, Mykolaiv region. He studied at school No. 17. After the death of his parents, he lived with his grandmother in the village of Kapitanka. He graduated from Odesa State Ecological University and Kherson State Agrarian and Economic University, where he was pursuing a full higher education at the time of the full-scale war. From a young age, the man dreamed of being a military, like his father. Since 2015, he served in the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. In 2015-2016, he participated in the ATO as part of the 501st battalion of the 36th separate brigade of the marine corps named after Rear Admiral Mykhailo Bilynsky. Since 2017, he continued his service under contract as part of the 95th separate airborne assault brigade. After that, he returned to the 501st battalion of the 36th separate brigade of the marine corps. He underwent training in the volunteer medical battalion "Hospitallers" and tactical medicine courses at the "Desna" training center. Later, he became the senior combat medic of the company. He met the full-scale invasion together with his comrades at the forefront. During his service, the soldier was awarded the chest badges "Participant of the ATO" and "For Exemplary Service". "Misha was my whole world. He was a very intelligent and wise young man, a bright, honest and decent person. He read a lot and believed in God with all his heart. Misha chose tactical medicine to save the lives of his comrades. Even in this difficult time, he taught tactical medicine himself to improve his knowledge, and taught the guys so that everyone could provide first aid in case of injury. A lot of good can be said about him. He deserves a bright and eternal memory as a courageous, brave, intelligent patriot of his country," said Antonina Berezhna, a close person of the deceased. The military was buried at the Bogopilsky cemetery in Pervomaisk, Mykolaiv region. Mykhailo is survived by a brother, close ones, friends and comrades.Memory Platform 'Memorial'
