Mykhailo M. Krekhovetskyi

Born on December 24, 1971, in the village of Solukiv, Dolynskyi district, Ivano-Frankivsk region. Graduated from a general education school. In 2015, he was mobilized into the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He served in the 58th Separate Motorized Infantry Brigade of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (military unit V0425, cities of Sumy/Konotop/Hlukhiv in Sumy region). Since 2015, he participated in the anti-terrorist operation in eastern Ukraine. On April 23, 2016, during the shelling of the positions of a platoon stronghold in the area of the urban-type settlement of Luhanske in Bakhmut district of Donetsk region, soldier Krekhoveckyi received a severe shrapnel wound. The serviceman was taken to the Military Medical Clinical Center of the Northern Region (city of Kharkiv), where he died from his injuries on April 24, 2016. On April 28, 2016, he was buried in the cemetery of the village of Solukiv, Dolynskyi district, Ivano-Frankivsk region.
