Mykhailo M. Molot

Soldier Mykhailo Molot was killed on July 22, 2023 near the village of Ternivka in the Donetsk region. While performing his official duties, he came under enemy tank fire and received fatal injuries. In two months, the defender would have turned 50 years old. Mykhailo was from the village of Ivanivka in the Vinnytsia region. He graduated from school there. Due to his health condition, he was discharged from military service. In civilian life, he worked at a sawmill. In his free time, he read books, went mushroom picking, and fishing. He loved to work the land, especially growing potatoes, experimenting and striving to have many fertile varieties. During the full-scale war, the man was drafted into the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He served in the 411th separate rifle battalion. He held the position of grenade launcher assistant. "My uncle was a very good person, sensitive, positive, a great worker. He always came to people's aid. You could trust him with anything. He loved life and people. I am infinitely grateful for the opportunity to live on my land. Deep bow and eternal memory. Forever in the heart," said the deceased's niece, Alona Myroncheva. The defender was buried in his native village. Mykhailo is survived by a sister and a niece.
