- Sergeant of the reconnaissance company, 36-year-old Mykhailo Myrunko (call sign Tsygan) died on August 17, 2023, in the village of Robotyne, Zaporizhzhia region. Mykhailo was from Zhytomyr. After graduating from the local school No. 7, he entered the Higher Vocational School No. 17, where he obtained the qualifications of a repair mechanic, electric and gas welder, and a "C" category driver. After completing his studies, he took computer courses and mastered a new profession. He then went to work for a private company. In his free time, he loved fishing and hunting, and was on good terms with firearms. He helped his relatives with household chores. From the first day of the full-scale invasion, Mykhailo voluntarily defended Ukraine, first joining the territorial defense forces and then the 128th Separate Mountain Assault Brigade. He underwent training in Germany and later served in the 116th Separate Mechanized Brigade. He was a sergeant in the reconnaissance company. He was given the call sign Tsygan because, according to his comrades-in-arms, the Gypsies are good. "Misha was also good. And not only externally, he was a good person in every sense. There was no matter, no work that our Misha would not do. He was an incredibly kind, honest, principled and courageous person. He loved children very much. Once during our phone conversation, he asked me to wait a few seconds, and I heard this: 'Little one, hold the candy. Just share it with your friend,'" said his cousin Alina Kundich. The fallen soldier was buried at the Smolyansky Military Cemetery in Zhytomyr. Mykhailo left behind two daughters, a sister, and a father.Memory Platform 'Memorial'
