Biography
Mikhail Mikhailovich Nesolony was born on June 8, 1988, in the village of Snihkiv, Valky District, Kharkiv Oblast. Since 2015, he served in the Armed Forces of Ukraine as a driver of the MT-LB sanitary armored personnel carrier in the 16th separate motorized infantry battalion "Poltava" of the 58th separate motorized brigade. He died on February 24, 2022, on the first day of the Russian invasion of Ukraine, in close combat with enemy forces during the evacuation of people. On the morning of that day, Russian troops attempted to breach the border near the village of Bachiivsk in the Sumy Oblast but were halted on the Kypit-Bachiivsk highway near the village of Hodunivka, where combat skirmishes ensued. Several soldiers were wounded, and a transport from the brigade medical point was called for their evacuation. A sanitary transport based on the MT-LB, marked with Red Cross signs, immediately arrived to assist the comrades, driven by Junior Sergeant Mikhail Nesolony. Despite the obvious danger of an enemy advance, he demonstrated courage and bravery, continuing to carry out the combat mission of evacuating people but came under targeted fire from the Russians, who could clearly see the Red Cross sign in their sights. The armored vehicle was hit, and comrades managed to pull the wounded from it, but they could not save Mikhail — he heroically perished, fulfilling his duty at the combat post until the last moment. He was buried on April 7, 2022, in the village of Snihkiv in Kharkiv Oblast.Burial place
