- Soldier Mykhailo Skovoroda (call sign Mishanya) died on March 22, 2022 in battle with the occupiers near the village of Taramchuk in the Donetsk region. The defender was 34 years old. Mykhailo was born in the village of Berestove, Kharkiv region. He completed 9 grades of school and obtained a secondary education. He then studied at the Vocational School No. 63 in the village of Dvorichne, but did not complete his studies, as he went to serve in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Initially, he mastered the specialty of BMP mechanic-driver at the training center, then served in the reconnaissance company in Crimea. After demobilization, he returned home. He worked in various fields. He got married and raised a son. Later, he decided to sign a contract with the Armed Forces. Since 2019, he served in the 54th Separate Mechanized Brigade. He was a mechanic-driver. He fought in the Joint Forces Operation in the Donetsk and Luhansk regions. During the full-scale war, he continued to defend Donbas from Russian occupiers. He wanted to renew his contract and remain at the front. The soldier died 3 days before the end of his term. "My son was just a hero. He dreamed of a job, he was persistent," said Mykola Skovoroda. The defender was first buried in Dnipro, then reburied in the Alley of Glory of cemetery No. 18 in Kharkiv. At home, his parents, wife and son were waiting for him. Mykhailo Skovoroda was posthumously awarded the Order of Courage of the III degree.Memory Platform 'Memorial'
