Order "For Courage" 3rd Class

Biography
Sergeant Dmytro Babkin, commander of the platoon of the National Guard battalion "Donbas": "Today we said goodbye to Mykhailo, call sign Kosi, who was blown up the day before yesterday by an enemy bouncing mine that was on a tripwire… He left behind a wife and two daughters, of primary and preschool age… I touched the closed coffin and said: 'Rest in peace, brother…'. The coffin that contained the remains of the warrior, whom I had the honor to shake hands with just a few days ago… Kosi, that's how we addressed him, a calm and thoughtful scout who repeatedly ventured into the enemy's rear, practically crawling across the front line each time, gathering intelligence. He was the best among us in this matter. He enjoyed absolute authority among his comrades precisely because of his resourcefulness, courage, and bravery. He never took unnecessary risks. He was in charge of one of the forward positions in Shyrokyne, managed to keep the guys safe, and survived himself. He survived there — but did not survive here…".Military service
