Mykhailo P. Mytnyk

Senior soldier Mykhailo Mytnyk was killed in battle on October 26, 2022, near the village of Nevske in the Luhansk region. He was 34 years old. Mykhailo was born in the village of Dolobiv in the Lviv region. He obtained a higher education at the Hryhorii Skovoroda Pereiaslav-Khmelnytskyi State Pedagogical University, majoring in "Physical Culture, Sports, and Health." He had a favorite hobby — football. Mykhailo played for FC "Dniester," where he achieved great success and was repeatedly named the best player. During the full-scale war, he defended Ukraine as part of the 80th Separate Air Assault Brigade. He served as a senior gunner and machine gunner. "Misha defended and fought for a free Ukraine, for our peaceful future. He spent almost 8 months on the front line. My husband was a very strong, kind, brave, and fearless person who never complained about the hell he had to endure. I miss my beloved very much and still cannot fully believe that he is gone! Our son, Ostap, who will soon be 5 years old, also misses him; he knows that dad is in heaven and that he needs to be well-behaved. He always says that when he grows up, he will be as big and strong as his dad! Misha will remain forever in our hearts!" said the wife of the fallen soldier.
