Mykhailo P. Yevtushynskyi

Senior soldier Mykhailo Yevtushynskyi was killed on July 12, 2023 near the village of Hryhorivka in the Donetsk region. The defender's life was cut short by enemy mortar fire. The warrior was forever 22 years old. Mykhailo was born in the village of Savchyne, Vinnytsia region. He lived in the settlement of Kryzhopiл. After graduating from secondary school in 2019, he went to work at the SE "Kryzhopiл Electrical Networks". However, after half a year, he decided to connect his life with the army and signed a contract with the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He served in the 56th Separate Motorized Infantry Brigade of Mariupol. He carried out combat missions in the area of the Joint Forces Operation. During his service, he and his unit destroyed not one dozen enemy equipment, tanks and enemy manpower. At the end of 2022, he got married. During the full-scale invasion, Mykhailo, together with his comrades-in-arms, continued to repel the attacks of the occupiers on the hot fronts. The guy held the position of senior shooter-operator and was repeatedly distinguished in battles. In March 2023, he was awarded the honorary badge of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine "Golden Cross". "I can only say the best about Mishanya. I remember him as a cheerful person who could support at any moment and lift the mood. For me, he will always remain an older brother, I will miss his words: "Namesake, brother, hello." It was an honor to be friends, communicate and help him," said the deceased's comrade. "I am proud of my brother, his courage, and his strength of spirit. Not everyone can, looking death in the eye, stand shoulder to shoulder with their comrades-in-arms, not fearing for their lives, saving others and bravely fighting for the freedom of their country. He is a true Hero," said Viktoriia Petryкiv. The young soldier was buried in the settlement of Kryzhopiл in the Vinnytsia region. Mykhailo is survived by his parents, sisters, wife, other relatives, friends and comrades-in-arms.
