Mykhailo S. Baranets

Soldier Mykhailo Baranets died on November 18, 2023, while repelling an enemy assault near the city of Avdiivka in the Donetsk region. The warrior was 35 years old. Mykhailo was from the village of Dashiv in the Vinnytsia region. Later, he moved with his family to the Kyiv region. He graduated from the Uman Vocational School. Before the invasion, he worked as a driver at the "Karat" company. He was passionate about cars and construction. The man was mobilized into the Armed Forces of Ukraine in July 2023. He underwent training and joined the 110th Separate Mechanized Brigade named after General-Ensign Marko Bezruchko. He held the position of senior mechanic-driver and went to the frontline, where he died a month later. "He was a bright and kind person, a loving father for the children. He had golden hands, he helped everyone and was a selfless person. Mykhailo still had a lot of plans for life that he could not fulfill. We miss him very much..." - said the wife of the deceased, Kateryna. The defender was buried in his native village. At home, Mykhailo was awaited by his wife and three daughters.
