Mykhailo S. Popov (Brat)

Popov Mykhailo Serhiyovych was born on May 15, 1998, in the village of Urzuf, Donetsk region. He was a master of sports in judo and Greco-Roman wrestling. After finishing school, he studied at a maritime lyceum in Mariupol. He has been with the Azov Regiment since 2016, stationed in his native village of Urzuf. He was a sniper. When the full-scale invasion began on February 24, 2022, Mykhailo went to defend the city of Mariupol. Together with his comrades-in-arms, he bravely defended the city. He was killed on May 9, 2022, on the territory of the Azovstal plant during the defense of Mariupol.
