Mykhailo S. Putintsev

Senior Lieutenant Mykhailo Putintsev was killed in action on April 4, 2022, in the village of Shcherbaky, Zaporizhzhia region. The commander of the engineering and sapper platoon of the 128th brigade was 25 years old. Mykhailo was born in the city of Lutsk, Volyn. He dreamed of becoming an officer since childhood. The first step was studying at the Volyn Lyceum with enhanced military and physical training named after the Heroes of Heavenly Hundred. In 2018, he graduated from the National Academy of Land Forces named after Hetman Petro Sahaidachny and received his dream rank of lieutenant. In addition to professional subjects, the young officer also intensively stu foreign languages: he spoke English and Spanish. He improved his skills during international military peacekeeping events held at the International Peacekeeping and Security Center. After graduation, Mykhailo was assigned to the 128th Separate Mountain Assault Zakarpattia Brigade. Despite his young age, he was serious and responsible, as well as honest and dedicated to his work. Comrades-in-arms remember that the officer always said: "There should be no trifles during the execution of any task, everything must be calculated and anticipated in advance! And necessarily - several steps ahead." "It is extremely difficult to realize that my son is no longer with us. I raised him alone, we felt each other even at a distance. I didn't even have time to think about him, and he was already calling, and I heard his melodious timbre: 'Hello, mom! I'm nearby... How are you, how is grandma, how is Marusya?' He loved his younger sister very much!... And he also said: 'Each of us defends not only Ukraine, but also our family. Mom, everything I do is for you, for you, everything is for you.' I am convinced that my caring, sensitive, and so gentle son will now protect me from heaven. I believe in this," the warrior's mother, Anna, told journalists. The hero was buried in Lutsk.
