Mykhailo V. Bohachuk

Senior Lieutenant Mykhailo Bohachuk was killed in action on June 16, 2022, as a result of a rocket attack in the Lysychansk area of Luhansk Oblast. The officer was 27 years old forever. Mykhailo was born in the village of Ivaniv, Vinnytsia Oblast. He stu at a local school. Having chosen the path of a military man, he graduated from the Kharkiv National Academy of the National Guard of Ukraine. He had a nine-year experience of military service. He was interested in hunting and fishing. He loved fishing with his hands very much, and he was good at it. After graduation, Mykhailo served in the 8th Special Purpose Regiment of the National Guard of Ukraine. During the full-scale invasion of Russian troops, the officer defended the territorial integrity of Ukraine as part of his unit. Together with his comrades, he went to the hot areas of the front. "He was the kindest, most sincere, best person. You are my soul, my life, my heart is only for you. As long as I am alive, you will live too!", his sister Inna noted. The officer was buried at the Ivaniv cemetery. Mykhailo's parents and sister remained. Posthumously, Senior Lieutenant Mykhailo Bohachuk was awarded the rank of captain, the hero was awarded the Order "For Courage" of the III degree.
