- Paratrooper Mykhailo Bohachyk (call sign Mysh) was killed on September 2, 2023 near the village of Verbove in the Zaporizhzhia region. While performing his duties, he came under enemy mortar fire and received fatal injuries. In November, the defender would have turned 38 years old. Mykhailo was born in the village of Klishkivtsi, Chernivtsi region. He studied at the Klishkovetska Gymnasium. From childhood, he was passionate about sports and participated in various competitions. After school, he completed automotive mechanic courses at the Chernivtsi vocational school. He then served his mandatory military service in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. After returning, he worked in construction with his father. In 2015, he participated in the Anti-Terrorist Operation in Donetsk region. On February 25, 2022, the man returned to the ranks of the defenders. He defended Ukraine as part of the 1st Airmobile Company of the 87th Separate Airmobile Battalion of the Airborne Assault Troops of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He was the soul of the class, friendly towards friends, and respected his relatives. Fast, energetic, reliable, and capable in everything. He fought on various sections of the front for over 1.5 years, underwent training on tactics and combat operations in Germany, and was in the hottest spots of confrontation with the occupiers. However, he never complained to anyone and did not talk about what he saw and experienced. On the contrary, he joked, charged everyone with positivity and faith in victory. He had the call sign Mysh. His comrades-in-arms jokingly called him Mr. Mysh, because although he was of short stature, he had a stocky build. His comrades remember him with great respect and gratitude, as he went where it was the most difficult. During his last leave, Mykhailo wanted to meet with all his relatives and friends, and tried to call his children: Maksym, Sashko, and Nika, who had left the country with their mother. He wanted to hear their voices and tell them how much he loved them and how much he missed them. The hero was buried in his native village. Mykhailo left behind his parents, three children, relatives, close ones, friends, and comrades-in-arms. Posthumously, Junior Sergeant Mykhailo Bohachyk was awarded the Order of Courage of the III degree.Memory Platform 'Memorial'
