Mykhailo V. Boiarchuk (Shkiet)

Soldier Mykhailo Boiarchuk (call sign Shket) died on November 10, 2023 near the city of Kupiansk in the Kharkiv region. During the performance of a combat mission, he sustained fatal injuries as a result of enemy shelling. The defender was 21 years old. Mykhailo was born in the city of Kivertsi, Volyn region. He graduated from the Volyn Regional Lyceum with enhanced military and physical training named after the Heroes of the Heavenly Hundred. He worked at the "Car Repair" society. In September 2022, the man was mobilized into the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He fought in the ranks of the 14th Separate Mechanized Brigade named after Prince Roman the Great. He held the position of BMP-1 operator-gunner, deputy commander of the combat vehicle. "Mykhailo was my beloved husband, the best son and brother. He was my life, whose life was just beginning. We miss our Mykhailo so much... We love him very much and mourn him," his wife Kateryna said. The young warrior was buried in the Alley of Glory of the cemetery in his hometown. The defender left behind his parents, sister, and wife.
