- Sergeant Mykhaylo Hunko (call sign Coyote) was killed on January 6, 2024, during a combat mission near the village of Robotyne, Zaporizhia region. The warrior was forever 26 years old. Mykhaylo was from the village of Zorya, Rivne region. He lived in Rivne. He worked as a consultant in a supermarket. In his free time, he played football. Since 2018, the guy has dedicated his life to military service, which he has been passionate about since childhood. He participated in the Joint Forces Operation, so with the start of the full-scale invasion, he continued to defend his native country from the occupiers together with his brothers-in-arms. Mykhaylo served in the 117th Separate Mechanized Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He was the commander of the anti-aircraft missile and artillery platoon. "Mykhaylo was passionate about military affairs since childhood. When we were children, we used to cover the walls of the room with military posters together. The last 6 years of his life he devoted to military service, which he was very proud of," said his sister Anastasia. The warrior was buried in the village of Dykiv, Rivne region. He is survived by his parents and two younger sisters. Mykhaylo Hunko was posthumously awarded the Order of Courage of the III degree.Memory Platform 'Memorial'
