- 50-year-old Mykhailo Krysyuk was killed on June 2, 2023 near the settlement of Druzhba in the Donetsk region. While carrying out a combat mission, he received fatal injuries during an enemy mortar attack. Mykhailo was born in the settlement of Stepan, Rivne region. He studied at the local school. He graduated from the Radyvyliv Vocational School No. 26, where he obtained the qualification of a woodworking finishing specialist and a machine operator. He worked as a carpenter, and later as a boiler operator at the Stepan Lyceum. He always maintained a healthy lifestyle and hardened himself, bathing in ice-cold water in winter. He loved to spend time with his family and relax in nature. With the start of the full-scale invasion, the man joined the ranks of the defenders. Mykhailo served in the 60th battalion "Polissya Wolves" of the 104th separate brigade of the territorial defense of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He held the position of a machine gunner. "Our dad was the brightest person I knew. He was incredibly kind, had golden hands and always helped everyone, he was a true friend who would help in any situation. From the first days of the war, dad stood up to defend his country and family. Even while on duty, he always cared for us - he tried to find time to write or call. He never complained that it was hard for him, he always assured that he was doing well, and said that the main thing for him was that everything was good with us. He was remembered as a smiling, fair and sincere person, dad was a man of his word. Everyone who knew my father always speaks of him only in good words. A loving husband, the best father and a caring son. We miss him very much. Unfortunately, the war takes away the best," said Natalia Krysyuk. The warrior was buried in his native village. Mykhailo is survived by his mother Maria Dmytrivna, beloved wife Oksana, son Taras, daughters: Natalia, Olha, Yulia, as well as relatives, friends and comrades-in-arms.Memory Platform 'Memorial'
