Mykhailo V. Mukovoz

Soldier Mykhailo Mukovoz was killed on December 6, 2022, while carrying out a combat mission in the area of the village of Opytne in the Donetsk region. A month before this, the fighter turned 22 years old. Mykhailo was born in the village of Slatyne, Kharkiv region. He studied at the Slatynsky Lyceum No. 1. Classmates and teachers always noticed his perseverance and diligence in studying. After school, he served his compulsory military service and returned home. He worked at a car service station. He dreamed of opening his own service station with his uncle. But the uncle was killed during the enemy shelling of the city of Derhachi. During the full-scale Russian invasion, Mykhailo joined the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He held the position of a rifleman-assistant grenade launcher in the military unit A7488. "He was a bright, kind-hearted, and well-educated person. Unfortunately, it is difficult to heal the painful wound of loss with words. He was the first to come to the aid of neighbors, friends, and acquaintances. Mykhailo was my support and comfort. Heroes do not die! They are always with us," says the father of the fallen Valerii. The serviceman was buried in his native village. Mykhailo is survived by his parents and sister.
