Mykhailo V. Nespiak (Fizruk)

33-year-old Mykhailo Nespyak (call sign Fizruk) was killed in action on July 2, 2022, in Luhansk region. He received a severe injury during an enemy mortar shelling. Mykhailo was born in Ivano-Frankivsk region. He was interested in sports, particularly football. He taught physical education at the Ivano-Frankivsk College of Technology and Business. As part of the 72nd separate mechanized brigade, he fought in the area of the Anti-Terrorist Operation/ Joint Forces Operation. After serving, he was a player of the veteran football team " Prykarpattia ATO". At the beginning of Russia's full-scale invasion, Mykhailo joined the 10th separate mountain assault brigade. He held the position of a gunner in a self-propelled artillery division. "My husband was a true patriot of his native state, infinitely loved children, football, beekeeping, and nature," said Olena Nespyak, the warrior's wife. The hero was buried in the city of Burshtyn, Ivano-Frankivsk region. Mykhailo left behind his parents, wife, and two sons.
