- Sergeant Mykhaylo Trubchaninov (call sign Fox) was killed on January 14, 2024 while performing a combat mission near the village of Kozachi Laheri in the Kherson region. He was 53 years old. Mykhaylo was born in the city of Kirovohrad (now Kropyvnytskyi). He graduated with honors from the Odesa Maritime School named after O.I. Marynesco. He served in the military and then returned to Kropyvnytskyi. He worked in the law enforcement agencies of Ukraine, in the department for combating drug trafficking. Over time, he transferred to work at the enterprise "Teploenerhetyk". He loved to make various decorative home accessories, and he invented decorations for ordinary things. He loved to cook, especially enjoying Eastern cuisine with a lot of spices. With the start of the full-scale invasion, the man went to defend his Homeland. Mykhaylo served in the 126th separate brigade of the territorial defense of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He held the position of commander of a rifle platoon. During his service, he received the award "Sergeant Corps", which is dedicated to the sergeant and senior staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and is a recognition of their heroism and daily work to ensure the combat readiness of the troops. "Dad was a spark, a toastmaster, as they said at various celebrations. He could easily find a common language with anyone. He loved animals very much, once he brought me a black and white dog Knopa in a bag from a business trip to the Mykolaiv region. He found a cat in the positions of the Kherson region, named Maruska. He was a cheerful person, a true friend, a good father and husband," said Mariya Trubchaninova. The hero was buried in the Alley of Honorable Military Burials of the Far Eastern Cemetery in Kropyvnytskyi. The deceased defender left behind a wife and daughter.Memory Platform 'Memorial'
