- Senior Lieutenant Mykhailo Zholobov (call sign Sivyi) was killed on March 2, 2022 in battles with Russian invaders for the city of Mariupol. The officer was 23 years old. Mykhailo was born in Kryvyi Rih, Dnipropetrovsk region. After school, in 2014-2016, he studied at the Kryvyi Rih Lyceum with enhanced military training. In 2020, he graduated from the Kharkiv National Academy of the National Guard of Ukraine. The guy was fond of sports, had the title of master of sports in swimming. He was cheerful, the soul of the company and always came to help. After graduation, Mykhailo served in the 21st separate brigade of public order protection named after Petro Kalnyshevsky of the National Guard of Ukraine. He was the deputy commander of the operational purpose battalion. He dreamed of a military career. From the first day of the full-scale invasion, the young officer stood up to defend Ukraine. Together with his comrades-in-arms, he defended the Azovstal plant and the city of Mariupol in the Donetsk region. That's where the fiercest battles took place in the spring. Unfortunately, in one of the battles with the invaders, Sivyi received a fatal wound. "My dear Mykhailo. I will love you endlessly. This was the brightest period in my life with you. I am grateful to fate that I had such a man. Good, the brightest, always smiling, loving, fair, purposeful. Such a short period, but so happy. You are a Hero of Ukraine. You was killed with a weapon in your hands, defending Mariupol, defending your whole family, so that we could live. Thank you, my sunshine, for everything. I am proud of you and will always be proud, you will be in my heart forever," said his wife Aliona. In the autumn, the invaders returned Mykhailo's body to the Ukrainian side. The defender was buried in his native Kryvyi Rih. The officer left behind his parents, younger brother and wife.Memory Platform 'Memorial'
