- Senior Lieutenant Mykhailo Bodak passed away on October 15, 2022, in a hospital in Zaporizhia from an illness he contracted while defending his homeland. He was to turn 58 years old on October 23. Mykhailo was born in the village of Tomashhorod, Rivne region. He graduated from the local school. In 1981, he obtained a profession as a tractor driver at the Sarny vocational school. He worked in his specialty at the state farm in his native village. He served in the military on conscription. Later, he moved to the village of Berestychko in the Rivne region. Since 2010, he worked at Kromberg and Schubert Ukraine LLC. In his free time, he loved fishing. From 2015 to 2016, he participated in the Anti-Terrorist Operation (ATO). As part of the 58th Separate Motorized Infantry Brigade, he fought in Luhansk. During the full-scale Russian invasion in April 2022, he once again took up the defense of his homeland. He served in the 65th Separate Mechanized Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He was the deputy commander of the weapons company. "He was a good man and a good host. His hands were everywhere, both in the yard and in the house. He tried to do everything. Everyone loved him; he never refused anyone and helped everyone. He loved fishing very much. Even while at war, he dreamed of sitting by the river," said the officer's wife, Nadia. "Mykhailo was cheerful and determined, a good host and an excellent specialist, a good family man, a loving father, and grandfather," noted the colleagues of the deceased. Mykhailo was buried in the village of Berestychko in the Rivne region. He is survived by his wife, two daughters, a son, and grandchildren.Memory Platform 'Memorial'
