- Mykhailo Voshchyna was born on January 31, 1973, in Khmelnytskyi. In 1990, he graduated from NVO No. 5 named after Serhii Yefremov. From June 19, 1991, to April 28, 1993, Mykhailo Voshchyna served in the military. On March 10, 2022, he was called up for military service by mobilization and assigned to serve in the 7th Border Guard Detachment of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine. From June 30 to September 30, 2022, Master Sergeant Mykhailo Voshchyna participated in repelling the armed aggression of the Russian Federation in the area of the villages of Mykil'ske, Novomykolaivka, and Pryvillia in the Donetsk region. Upon arriving at the positions of the border outpost, Mykhailo Voshchyna participated in the arrangement of positions and their preparation for defensive combat, and he served on combat duty at firing positions. He was a loyal comrade and a reliable brother-in-arms. On April 19, 2023, Mykhailo Voshchyna, as part of the 2nd Border Service Department (type C) of the rapid response border command of the 7th border detachment, was dispatched to carry out combat missions in the area of the city of Siversk in the Donetsk region. From the first days, he distinguished himself with bravery and resilience in battles. He excellently fulfilled his official duties and showed his best in extremely difficult combat conditions at the front line, participating multiple times in shooting battles with the enemy. On July 18, 2023, during an artillery shelling of the observation post "Railway," Master Sergeant Mykhailo Voshchyna was mortally wounded. For personal courage and selfless actions demonstrated in the defense of the state sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine, as well as loyalty to the military oath, Master Sergeant Mykhailo Yuriyovych Voshchyna was posthumously awarded the Order of "For Courage" of the 3rd degree.Memory Book of the MIA System
