- Mykola Andriyovych Zherebylo was born on December 19, 1997, in the city of Starobilsk, Luhansk region. Since 2017, Chief Sergeant Mykola Zherebylo served in the border guard units of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine. Since the beginning of the full-scale armed aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine, Mykola Zherebylo, along with his comrades, was among the first to confront the enemy and gave a worthy response to the adversary in battle on the outskirts of Starobilsk, Luhansk region. Under intense shelling from mortars of various calibers and enemy tanks, the serviceman bravely and heroically held back the advance of Russian Federation troops near Kreminna and Rubizhne in Luhansk region, and Lyman in Donetsk region. More than once, risking his own life, Mykola Zherebylo moved between positions under fire to establish communication, thereby ensuring a continuous and stable command system. On May 10, 2022, Mykola Zherebylo was killed as a result of an enemy missile and bomb strike on the location of his unit in the area of Topolivka, Luhansk region. For his personal courage and selfless actions displayed in defense of the state sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine, and loyalty to the military oath, Chief Sergeant Mykola Andriyovych Zherebylo was posthumously awarded the Order of Courage of the III degree.Memory Book of the MIA System
