Mykola H. Dovhyi

Born on May 12, 1977, in the village of Martinivka, Novoarkhanhelskyi district, Kirovohrad region. Graduated from a general education school, a vocational technical school in the city of Uman, Cherkasy region, specializing as a "turner," and driver courses in the village of Kam'yaneche, Novoarkhanhelskyi district, Kirovohrad region. Served mandatory military service in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. After the army, lived in the city of Kyiv. Worked as a driver at a factory in Kyiv. In the winter of 2013-2014, he was at Maidan Nezalezhnosti in Kyiv, where he was an active participant in the Revolution of Dignity. In September 2014, he was mobilized into the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Served as a driver in the 11th battalion of territorial defense "Kyivska Rus" (since November 2014 - the 11th separate motorized infantry battalion) of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (military unit field post V2262). Since the fall of 2014, he participated in the anti-terrorist operation in eastern Ukraine. On April 27, 2015, soldier Dovhyi was killed by an explosive injury while performing a military task near the village of Spartak, Yasynuvata district, Donetsk region. Buried in the cemetery of the village of Martinivka, Novoarkhanhelskyi district, Kirovohrad region.
