- Mykola Mykhailovych Asmakovskyi was born on January 2, 1997, in the town of Semenivka, Novhorod-Siverskyi district, Chernihiv region. He studied at a gymnasium in his hometown. In 2019, he obtained higher pedagogical education at the Huhuiv National Pedagogical University named after Oleksandr Dovzhenko, majoring in "History Teacher, Teacher of Social Studies and Law." In 2019-2020, he worked as a history teacher at the Tymonovytskyi general secondary education institution of I-III degrees. Friendly, decent, hardworking, and prudent, he always had his own point of view; he was gifted, intelligent, and loved his country. From the beginning of the invasion, Mykola was in his native Semenivka, which found itself under occupation in the first days. In early March 2022, he reached almost encircled Chernihiv and joined the National Guard of Ukraine to defend the city. After the liberation of Chernihiv region, Mykola, having passed an interview, transferred to the 3rd Battalion of Operational Assignment "Svoboda" of the 4th Operational Assignment Brigade named after Hero of Ukraine Sergeant Serhii Mykhalchuk. After completing the basic military training course, he and his unit were sent to the hottest front line at that time—the Bakhmut direction. It was there, while holding back the onslaught of the Russian invaders, that Mykola Asmakovskyi gave his life for a free Ukraine. The hero is survived by his mother, brother, and girlfriend.Memory Book of the MIA System
