- Military serviceman Mykola Bardihula died on August 11, 2022, in combat with the occupiers near the village of Bilohorivka in Donetsk Oblast. He was 40 years old. Mykola was born in the town of Dolyna, Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast. After school, he obtained the profession of a carpenter-builder at the vocational-technical school No. 72 in the village of Pidbuzh, Lviv Oblast. He worked in his specialty and went abroad to work in construction. When the full-scale war began, he was abroad but decided to return to defend Ukraine. In the summer, he was mobilized into the 10th Separate Mountain Assault Brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. He held the position of a rifleman-sapper. Since July, he had been defending the Bakhmut direction. "My loving father of a son and daughter, beloved husband, sincere, responsible, the best, always supportive to everyone. A hero who died for our Ukraine. My life, my love, you will remain in my heart forever," said the defender's wife, Natalia. "Each drop of blood from our people is unbearably painful. No one can prepare for such grief or find the words to heal the burning wound of eternal separation from a dear person for their family and friends. We sympathize with the relatives and loved ones. We sincerely share the pain of loss and bow our heads in deep sorrow," wrote the head of the Dolyna community, Ivan Dyryv. The defender was buried at the Glory Alley in his hometown. Mykola is survived by his mother, wife, son, and daughter.Memory Platform 'Memorial'
