- Soldier Mykola Iliushechkin (call sign Frenchman) was killed on March 19, 2023, while carrying out a combat mission in the Svatove district of Luhansk region. The defender suffered a fatal explosive injury. He was forever 30 years old. Mykola was from the village of Ohiivka, Kharkiv region. After school, he graduated from the Kharkiv Vocational Mechanical Engineering Lyceum and mastered the profession of a turner-miller. He worked in construction. He got married and dreamed of a strong family that would live in peace. During the full-scale war, the man joined the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He served in the 22nd Motorized Infantry Battalion of the 92nd Separate Mechanized Brigade named after Koshovy Otaman Ivan Sirko. "He was very kind and cheerful. He dreamed of children, but unfortunately never had time to become a dad. He went to war voluntarily from the beginning. He wanted to defend his native Ukraine and protect his loved ones," said the deceased's wife, Kristina. Mykola was buried in his native village. At home, his parents and wife were waiting for him. The warrior was posthumously awarded the Order of Courage of the III degree.Memory Platform 'Memorial'
