- Born on May 23, 1973, in the village of Krasna Slobidka, Obukhiv District, Kyiv Oblast. Graduated from high school. In 2014, he was mobilized into the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He served as a senior gunner in the 128th Separate Mountain Infantry Brigade of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (military unit A1778 (field post V4673), city of Mukacheve, Zakarpattia Oblast). Since 2014, he participated in the anti-terrorist operation in eastern Ukraine. He served at a checkpoint near the urban-type settlement of Chornukhine in the Popasna District of Luhansk Oblast. On December 7, 2014, soldier Kabanyets was forced to return from the anti-terrorist operation zone due to health issues. In December 2014, he underwent surgery on internal organs at the Main Military Medical Clinical Center "Main Military Clinical Hospital" (city of Kyiv) and was sent to the Irpin Military Hospital (city of Irpin, Kyiv Oblast) for rehabilitation. On the night of January 3, 2015, Mykola Kabanyets died of cardiac arrest. On January 4, 2015, he was buried in the cemetery of the village of Krasna Slobidka, Obukhiv District, Kyiv Oblast.Book of Remembrance for Ukraine - Ukrainian memorial
