- 43-year-old Sergeant Mykola Konovalchuk (call sign Kokha) was killed on December 24, 2022 while performing a combat mission near the city of Avdiivka in the Donetsk region. The defender received fatal injuries during an enemy mortar attack. Mykola was born in the village of Zhurbyntsi, Vinnytsia region. After school, he stuwas killed at the Kozeiatyn Vocational School No. 17, where he obtained the profession of a tiler-plasterer. He worked as a construction worker and also did repairs in apartments. Later, he took care of the household. He loved fishing. During the full-scale war, the man joined the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine to protect his home and family from the enemy. He served in the 110th Separate Mechanized Brigade named after General-Ensign Marko Bezruchko. He was a combat vehicle commander. "From the beginning of the full-scale invasion, on February 24, 2022, dad immediately stood up to defend our state. He was always a hero who fought bravely to the end. I am happy to be the daughter of a strong and unbreakable dad. Thank you. Glory to the Heroes!" wrote Bohdana Konovalchuk. "A hardworking man, he always helped people and never refused. He had dreams, loved children, and really wanted to play with his grandchildren," added Liudmyla, the wife of the deceased's brother. The warrior was buried in his native village. At home, Mykola was awaited by his parents, wife, children: Mykola, Bohdana, Artur, and Solomiia, as well as a loving family.Memory Platform 'Memorial'
