- Sergeant Mykola Mindyio (call sign Siedoy) was killed on October 23, 2022, in a battle with the occupiers in the area of the village of Yakovlivka in Donetsk region. The warrior was 47 years old. Mykola was born and lived in the city of Pervomaisk, Mykolaiv region. He graduated with honors from the Novobuzhsk Technical School, where he obtained the profession of builder. He worked as a long-distance truck driver transporting grain across Ukraine. He was passionate about beekeeping. When the full-scale war began, he evacuated his family to Chernivtsi and then enlisted in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He served in the 10th Separate Mountain Assault Brigade "Edelweiss" as a radio telephone operator in the infantry platoon. "The pain and sorrow of losing a loved one will last forever... Kolya was a faithful and beloved husband, a caring and loving father. Our family had its own happy world, which the war destroyed. I know he could have done a lot of good for people because he was always ready to help. He gladly assisted in organizing schools where our children learned, in our hometown where we lived a happy life, and never refused friends and acquaintances. He was always sincere and smiling in communication, which is why many people loved and respected him. Some damned orc's hand took the life of a wonderful man with a beautiful, kind, and romantic nature. Kolya loved nature, loved bees, with which he spent his free time, and was diligent and hardworking. He constantly improved himself and tried to become better. He looked at the world positively. He supported his comrades, inspiring them with his confidence and optimism. His comrades were drawn to him and felt safe beside him. He told his relatives, 'I am here until the end.' For me, he was and is my whole world and life. I know Kolya is now in a better world because people like him never die," wrote his wife Inna about the fallen soldier. The defender was buried at the Glory Alley of the central cemetery in Chernivtsi. Mykola is survived by his wife and two sons. Posthumously, the warrior was awarded the medal "For the Glory of Chernivtsi."Memory Platform 'Memorial'
