- Main Sergeant Mykola Rybachenko (call sign Ryba) died on May 8, 2024, in the area of the village of Novopokrovske in the Donetsk region. During the assault on enemy positions, he received a fatal bullet wound to the lungs. The defender was 52 years old. Mykola was born in the village of Shura-Bonduriv, Vinnytsia region. He lived in the neighboring village of Bonduri. There he finished school and received secondary education. He worked as a tractor driver and combine harvester operator in the collective farm and private enterprises. His last job was at LLC "Avtostrada," where he held the position of a forklift driver. He worked hard to support his family. At home, he was engaged in household chores and enjoyed time with his family. With the beginning of the full-scale invasion, he volunteered to join the ranks of the defenders. He fought as part of the 168th battalion of the 120th separate brigade of the territorial defense of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He held the position of a rifle platoon commander. The military man was awarded the medal "For Bravery in Battle," the badge "For Service and Valor" of the III degree, and the Order "For Courage" of the III degree (posthumously). "It is still hard to believe, we are still waiting for dad to call or come on leave. Our hero is forever in our memory and hearts!" said the deceased's daughter Diane. Mykola was buried in the village of Bonduri, Vinnytsia region. At home, his wife, daughter, and son with their families, and two grandchildren were waiting for him.Memory Platform 'Memorial'
