- Senior Sergeant Mykola Yaremchuk was killed on August 7, 2023, during an enemy artillery shelling in the area of the village of Mala Tokmachka in the Zaporizhzhia region. The warrior was 53 years old. Mykola was born in the village of Yosypivka in the Vinnytsia region, where he spent his childhood and youth. In 1986, he graduated from Yosypivka School. He then entered Vinnytsia Vocational Technical School No. 18, where he trained as an electrician for electric transport. From 1988 to 1990, he served his mandatory military service in the city of Yavoriv in the Lviv region. Later, he worked as an electrician at the Yuzef-Mykolaiv Sugar Refinery. During the full-scale war, on August 15, 2022, he was mobilized into the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Initially, he defended his homeland as part of military unit A7020. He later transferred to the 117th Separate Mechanized Brigade. He participated in fierce battles for Marinka in the Donetsk region and Volokhiv Yar in the Kharkiv region. "Hardworking, honest, with a sense of humor, cheerful, always ready to help, full of life," noted the deceased's daughter-in-law, Victoria. The defender was buried at the Alley of Glory in his native village. At home, Mykola was awaited by his son Dmytro and family, his close person Iryna, relatives, and friends.Memory Platform 'Memorial'
