Mykola O. Boichuk

Defender Mykola Boichuk was killed in action on July 4, 2022, while performing a combat mission in Donetsk region. The life of the 50-year-old military man was cut short by an enemy mortar attack. Mykola was born in the village of Korshiv, Ivano-Frankivsk region. He stu at the local comprehensive school of I-III degrees. He worked as a builder, went to work in Poland. During the full-scale Russian invasion, the man joined the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He was a fighter of the 10th separate mountain assault brigade. "A very good and kind person. Time has passed, but it is still hard to believe that Mykola is no longer with us," said a friend of the deceased. "It is hard to find words of comfort, it is impossible to heal the pain and bitterness of loss, but the bright memories of the Hero of Ukraine will always be stronger than death... We share your grief, mourn with you, support you in the hour of sorrow. May the bright memory of Mykola Omelyanovych forever remain in the hearts of loved ones and acquaintances, and may God give him eternal life and rest," wrote the Korshiv community. Mykola was buried in his native village. At home, his wife and children were waiting for him.
