- 30-year-old serviceman Mykola Drozdov died on July 22, 2022 while performing a combat mission in the area of the village of Lozove in the Kherson region. Mykola was born in the village of Chornobaivka, Kherson region. He graduated from the Kherson College of Physical Culture. He then studied to become a psychologist and worked in the field. He was a kind and bright person. The man also did therapeutic massages. At the beginning of the full-scale war, Mykola joined the ranks of the territorial defense of Kyiv, then engaged in volunteering. In May, he decided to join the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Together with his comrades-in-arms, he went to the front line. And he died in battles with the Russian invaders for his native Kherson region. "Kolya is a brave, courageous, educated guy, responsible and straightforward! A member of the Edelweiss organization, he died while performing a combat mission. Until the last moment, he saved the lives of his comrades-in-arms. Eternal memory to you, friend, rest in peace! I remember the day when the guys came to me to join the Edelweiss team and work together as volunteers. In May, they decided to join the Armed Forces of Ukraine to be closer to their native Kherson region and protect the peace and tranquility of Ukrainians. Everyone who was in that direction got it, but no one retreated and bravely carried out the assigned tasks... Kolya was on the battlefield until the last and saved the lives of his comrades-in-arms... It's hard to find the words. We will remember you! You were an example for many," wrote Denis Fedko, deputy commander of the Edelweiss battalion. "Kolya... A bright, kind, intelligent guy. He could still do so much for people... We will never forget him," wrote acquaintance Yulia. The serviceman was buried at the Central Cemetery in Kryvyi Rih. Mykola is survived by his parents, brother, wife and young son.Memory Platform 'Memorial'
