- Senior soldier Mykola Mysko (call sign Parovoz) was killed on February 20, 2023, in battle with the occupiers near the village of Chervonopopivka in the Luhansk region. The warrior was 29 years old. Mykola was born in the village of Lyudyn, Rivne region. He obtained the profession of a builder at the Rivne Higher Vocational School No. 1. He served in the military. He spent most of his life working abroad in construction. He loved sports. He actively participated in various sports competitions, especially loved football. He repeatedly won prizes and had many awards. During the full-scale Russian invasion, the man defended his native country as part of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He was a fighter of the 518th separate special purpose battalion "Wild Field". He held the position of assistant machine gunner. A week before his death, his candidacy was submitted for the position of squad commander. "Mykola was very cheerful, kind, sincere, fair, hardworking, and was always used as an example. He had many friends. He never refused those who asked for his help. He always said that we were his rear, on which he could always rely. And so it was. When the war started, he was abroad, but he couldn't sit there. Coming home, he immediately went to the military enlistment office. He never complained about anything, he got out of difficult situations with jokes, he always laughed. He said that he was lucky to meet good and brave guys in the battalion. Mykola was our great support and pillar," said the deceased's sister Tetyana. Mykola was buried in his native village. At home, he was awaited by his mother, sister, two brothers, niece, other relatives, and many friends.
