- Born on May 14, 1987, in the village of Stavyske, Kozelets district, Chernihiv region. Graduated from the general education school of the village of Stavyske. Worked as a firefighter, then in various jobs in Kyiv. In March 2014, he was mobilized into the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He served as a sniper in the 1st Separate Guards Tank Brigade of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (military unit A1815, the urban-type settlement of Honcharivske, Chernihiv district, Chernihiv region). From spring-summer 2014, he participated in the anti-terrorist operation in eastern Ukraine. During June-July 2014, as part of the 80th Separate Airborne Brigade, he participated in the defense of the airport in the city of Luhansk. During the fighting, he sustained two severe concussions. In August 2014, he received leave, but due to a sharp deterioration in his health, he ended up in a military hospital. After undergoing treatment, he returned to the area of the anti-terrorist operation. He served in a separate sniper company near the city of Volnovakha, Donetsk region. During his service, the soldier's illness sharply worsened. He suffered from constant headaches and had a very high fever that could not be reduced. Mykola Vasyuk was taken to the Dnipropetrovsk military hospital, then to one of the medical facilities in Kyiv. Doctors diagnosed the soldier with meningitis and a concussion. After a long treatment, on December 29, 2014, Mykola Vasyuk returned home. On January 5, 2015, due to a sharp deterioration in his health, he was again admitted to the military hospital. Mykola Vasyuk had a high fever, he became delirious, and could not find peace. On January 13, he fell into a coma and was connected to a ventilator. On the morning of January 14, 2015, Mykola Vasyuk died. He was buried in the cemetery of the village of Stavyske, Kozelets district, Chernihiv region.Book of Remembrance for Ukraine - Ukrainian memorial
