- Serviceman Mykola Hudenko (call sign Tsyhan) was killed on October 13, 2022, while carrying out a combat mission near the town of New York in the Donetsk region. The fighter was 46 years old. Mykola was born in the city of Pidhorodne, Dnipropetrovsk region. After school, he obtained the profession of a tractor driver at the local vocational school No. 19. He also studied to be a painter-plasterer. He worked as a tractor driver in a collective farm. During the full-scale Russian invasion, the man defended Ukraine in the ranks of the 59th Separate Motorized Infantry Brigade named after Yakov Handziuk. He was a rifleman-sapper of the assault unit. "He was a very good person with a kind heart. He was always rushing to help. He gave his life so that his children and grandchildren could live in peace on their land," said the deceased's wife Marina. "Eternal memory. Mykola was a good, open guy. What a pain, the soul is torn..." wrote acquaintance Olena Shakhmatova. "Bright memory to the Hero from Pidhorodne. His father, Petro Hryhorovych, raised a patriot. Unfortunately or fortunately, he did not see how the enemies came to our land - he passed away earlier. But from heaven, I hope, he also said goodbye to his son Kolya. Who, like his father, was always cheerful and full of optimism. It's a pity that those who still have to live and live are leaving this world..." wrote Oleksiy Hudenko. The defender was buried in his hometown. Mykola is survived by his mother and wife.Memory Platform 'Memorial'
