Mykola P. Omelnytskyi (Samara)

Main Sergeant Mykola Omelnitsky (call sign Samara) was killed on November 14, 2022 while performing a combat mission near the village of Ternі in the Donetsk region. The fighter was 37 years old. Mykola was born in the city of Selidovo, Donetsk region. He received secondary education. He got married and started a family. He lived in the settlement of Hvardiiske in the Dnipropetrovsk region. He dedicated his entire life to service in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. During the full-scale Russian invasion, Mykola fought for Ukraine in the ranks of the 25th separate airborne assault Sich brigade of the airborne assault troops of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He was an artilleryman. "My husband was a professional in his work. We had a lot of plans. He managed to see his son only 3 times," said the wife of the deceased Yana. "Every loss brings pain to our people that will not pass with the years. It is sad and painful that a strong, courageous man, a true patriot, was killed in the prime of his life. Unfortunately, there are no words to alleviate the unbearable pain of the loved ones from the irreparable loss. Let's remember every minute of those to whom we owe our lives and freedom! Eternal memory and honor to the Hero!" - noted in the Novomoskovsk community. Mykola was buried in the settlement of Hvardiiske. At home, he was awaited by his mother, brother, wife, daughter and son.
