Mykola S. Berezhnytskyi

Soldier Mykola Berezhnytskyy was killed on April 18, 2022 near the city of Popasna in Luhansk region. While carrying out a combat mission, he came under enemy artillery fire. His injuries were fatal. The defender was forever 35 years old. Mykola was born and lived in the settlement of Dublany, Lviv region. He graduated from the local secondary school. He then obtained a higher education at the Lviv State University of Life Safety of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, where he studied at the Faculty of Fire Safety. He then served in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. In civilian life, he worked at LLC "Avtomahistral-Pivden". During the full-scale war, the man fought for his country in the ranks of the 24th Separate Mechanized Brigade named after King Danylo. He held the position of a mortar platoon driver. Together with his comrades-in-arms, he defended the Luhansk region. "Why didn't I hug you tighter that day? I thought we would see each other soon. Why forever, dear?" - wrote the deceased's sister Iryna Chervinska. Mykola is survived by his parents, sister, wife and three children.
