Mykola S. Kharkivets (Kharkivets)

Soldier Mykola Kharkivets was killed on October 18, 2023, in the area of the village of Dibrova in the Luhansk region. While performing his duties, he received fatal injuries as a result of a hostile drone attack. A month earlier, on September 19, the defender turned 49 years old. Mykola was born in the village of Zdomyshl, Volyn region. He received secondary education. He mastered the professions of a builder, tractor driver, and combine operator. In his free time, he loved to fish and be with his family. During the full-scale Russian invasion, the man joined the ranks of the defenders and went to defend his native country. He served in the 100th separate brigade of the territorial defense of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. "My dad was a very good person, a man of his word, a man of courage. He was a good father, husband, son, grandfather, brother, and friend. He never refused anyone anything, he always went to help people. Until his last breath, he believed in the victory of Ukraine, which he also aspired to," said Anastasia Kharkivets. The warrior was buried in his native village. At home, Mykola was awaited by his parents, sisters, wife, children, and grandchildren.
