Mykola S. Kovalenko

Serviceman Mykola Kovalenko was killed on October 4, 2022, while carrying out a combat mission near the village of Davydiv Brid in the Kherson region. In August, the warrior turned 31 years old. Mykola was born in the village of Radensk, Kherson region. After finishing school, he studied at the International University of Business and Law. He worked in the police of the Oleshkivskyi district. He was passionate about fishing and construction. He loved to cook various dishes. In November 2021, he signed a contract with the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He served in the 57th Separate Motorized Infantry Brigade named after Koshovyi Otaman Kost Hordiienko. He was a grenadier in the 17th battalion. During the full-scale war, he fought together with his comrades-in-arms on the eastern and southern fronts of the front. On March 22, 2022, he was wounded. After a long treatment, he returned to his comrades-in-arms for the last time. Mykola's loved ones said that he was the best eldest son, brother, beloved and loving dad, who always helped and supported. Comrades-in-arms remember him with warm words and call him a brother. He was cheerful, positive, smart and fair, he loved to make surprises. For friends and relatives, Mykola is a pride and a Hero. His girlfriend Alina said that he was sincere, cheerful, with big plans for the future, and that he will forever be in her heart. The defender was buried in Dnipro, as his small homeland is temporarily occupied. Mykola is survived by his parents, daughter, younger brother, girlfriend, and other relatives and friends.
